I've completed three stints on m/y Virginian, which include one
summer season and four winter refits in Toulon, Marseille,
La Ciotat and La Rochelle over the space of 6 years.
My duties include full wash down, 2-part teak cleaning, line handling, paint repairs, crane operation launching tenders, polishing exterior of yacht, tender & Jet Ski driving, navigational watch, varnishing general maintenance.
I joined M/Y Kingdom 5kr as a temp deckhand to help out for their summer cruises to Montenegro & Saudi Arabia. My duties include full washdown, two part teak cleaning, paint repairs, sanding, varnishing, Line handling & general maintenance.
I've done 4 stints on M/Y Lady britt as a relief deckhand covering for deckhands going on holidays.
My duties include; Full washdown, teak cleaning, handling of lines, sanding, paint repairs including roll & tip, engine room bilge cleaning, general maintenance & I've also done one Atlantic crossing. I've also done 5 guest charters throughout 2018 Med & Caribbean season.
I joined M/Y Intuition II in Ensenada, Mexico for a shipyard refit. My duties include; Stripping varnish to bare wood, varnishing, full washdown and teak cleaning. I also assisted the engineering department with rewiring all camera & communication cables throughout the vessel.
I joined M/Y More as a seasonal deckhand, which is a charter yacht that's based in Monaco in the winter & cruises around the Mediterranean for the summer. My duties include full wash down, two-part teak cleaning, line handling during manoeuvring in/out of port, tender driving (7m outboard tender), varnishing with alwgrip , sanding, general maintenance and assistance with water toys activities with guests.
Motor Yacht Charters Sydney is based in Gladesville marina, where I worked as a deckhand on day charter boats for 5 years. My duties include full wash down of both yachts, cleaning of the teak decks using the 2-part system, polishing all exterior stainless with Star Clean Metal Polish, using Rain-Ex on all exterior windows, handling of lines during docking & undocking, also assisting captain with anchoring & davit operations & tender driving.
I've successfully assisted 9 Boat shows ranging from a 1 to 3 month contracts each year. My duties prior to the event were:
- Providing operational & customer service assistance to management & exhibitors
- Development of a collateral distribution plan & allocation of resources
- Production of resource plans & briefing documentation for volunteers
- Assisted the Event Operations Manager in the preparation of event documentation leading up to the show
During the show, I was responsible for the management of supervision & allocation of 30+ student volunteers, collateral distribution throughout the show, including production of distribution plans & resource management. The show spanned over 7 days, which included working 16 hour days & constantly on your feet making sure all day to day activities run smoothly
